Well, the "weather guessers" were totally off for today's forecast. You may recall that we are supposed to be getting ready for a real "old fashioned" winter snow storm in the next few days. Today was supposed to be the calm before the storm....a beautiful sunny day. Well, shortly before my husband left for work this AM it started snowing ever so slightly. No worries, they said we "might" see a few light flurries. :) By the time the kids and I left for their classes this AM we had well over an inch of snow. I was not complaining at all, but found it rather funny that we were supposed to have just light flurries when we'd seen a steady snow fall for well over an hour.
Here are my lilac bushes, so beautiful in the snow. :)
My front porch, covered in snow....ignore the house that is in desperate need of a good painting.

What a beautiful sight, Valerie! WOWEE!
We don't have as much snow as you, and ours is ugly already. We'll need some fresh stuff soon. 8-)

Isn't that fun!! It hasn't stopped snowing here all day :-) We love it too.
Yes, everything looks better with a coat of snow :-)

Ha, this happens to us all the time in IN - tho sometimes it's the opposite. A few years ago, the guessers said we were going to have a blizzard and we didn't get an inch! The guy even came on TV and apologized for scaring everyone! Haha.
Glad to find your blog, keep up the good work!
Look at these pictures!! So pretty! We got snow too and my kids were so happy, their dad, not so much. LOL
Have a great day!
p.s. We are doing Horizons Math for my second grader. What did you use and like?
Snow is beautiful! I came home from my sister's house to find 6 inches! Love it!
I've enjoyed reading your blog. Seems that we have a lot in common! Looking forward to reading more! You have a new follower!
Sooo pretty! Hopped over to your blog from Christa's place..."Country Hearts at Home". We have snow here today too...fun!
Many blessings,
Camille
We love the snow sooo much!! Much to the disgust of others we know my kids pray for it nearly every night!! :0) We're hoping for more!!!
Blessings,
Christine
I love the black and white pictures. Everything is so pretty. We too get these big scary warnings of storms, but rarely they are ever fulfilled. Much to the disappointment of my kids.
